Beta
- The drive now starts when you open the app from the last page of setup. With 1.0.0-beta.4 it reported "The drive did not mount within 10 seconds" until the app was started again from its shortcut.
- When the drive does not start, the message says what to do and offers Try again. The details go to the log a bug report includes.
- Updating while the app or its drive runs: setup asks, then closes the app and stops the drive itself, instead of stopping with an error about a file in use.
- While a recording's first picture is prepared, which takes a few seconds, Preview and the TLW 360 viewer say which file is opening instead of showing a black picture. A file that does not open says why in the same place.
Beta
- Projects are now called editing packs, so they are not confused with your editor's project. The drive folder is Editing packs\\<name>; the ? next to Editing pack explains the difference. The Edit… button is Settings….
- Insta360 recordings cut off by a power loss or a crash are found when you add them, listed in one window and repaired into new copies beside the originals. The TLW 360 viewer offers the same repair. Repaired recordings cannot be stabilized.
- With DaVinci Resolve Studio, Create project in Resolve and Add to the open Resolve project fill in each clip's camera, serial number and record time. The free version still uses the metadata file.
- The Recorded column shows the camera clock's record time, as Resolve does. DJI recordings take their record time from the camera's file name.
- The app, the TLW 360 viewer and the installer are in ten languages. The language chosen in the installer becomes the app's.
- The last editing pack can be deleted; the app then starts over as on the first start.
- New icons and installer pictures.
- With Media Organizer: it can keep its edits' 360 recordings in editing packs it manages, listed as "(Media Organizer)" and read-only here.
